Possibility of a guided tour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"testo\">Botanical garden Paradisia,<\/h4>\n<p class=\"testo\">in Valnontey, open from June to September, every day. In the forests of the valley floors, the most frequent trees are larch, mixed with spruce, stone pine and, more rarely, silver fir. As you climb up the slopes, the trees give way to vast alpine pastures, rich in flowers in late spring. _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_2_line_height=&#8221;2em&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Valnontey in SUMMER<\/h2>\n<p>In summer, it is the starting point for <strong>numerous walks of all levels<\/strong>, from gentle strolls in the valley, which can also be done with a pushchair, to more challenging ones, with the sure possibility of spotting animals to the delight of nature photography enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Right next to the hotel there is a small<strong> riding school<\/strong> where you can take a leisurely horse ride or a romantic carriage ride.<\/p>\n<p>The best times to see the animals are May and October: autumn is definitely the best season, both because the <strong>animals are close<\/strong> at hand and because of the wonderful colours of the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>There is no shortage of mountain bike trails and <strong>climbing gyms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"submenu\">\n<div class=\"submenu\">\n<div class=\"submenu\">\n<h2>Lillaz waterfalls<\/h2>\n<p>From the village of Lillaz, a 10-minute walk along an almost flat path takes you to the famous waterfalls with three jumps of the Urtier torrent for a total height of 150 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Easy to reach, the waterfalls have become an undisputed destination in Cogne.<\/p>\n<h2>The ancient mines<\/h2>\n<p>The old Miners&#8217; Village, a few kilometres from the town, is now home to Fondation Grand Paradis, which houses the Gran Paradiso National Park visitors&#8217; centre and the Alpinart exhibition centre, which currently has a temporary exhibition on the mine, representing the history of Cogne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; Cogne and all the villages are in fact linked by the slopes.<\/p>\n<p>Those who don&#8217;t ski can walk along the valley floor paths already beaten by snowshoers, or with snowshoes. Alternatively, there is a romantic carriage ride starting right next to the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Valnontey offers, for enthusiasts, the possibility of ice climbing with its numerous waterfalls (50 of the over 150 present in the entire Cogne area!). Cogne is one of the most renowned centres for cross-country skiing with over 45 km of trails, with several rings in the meadows of St Orso and in all the villages.
